Assistant Manager-Operations

As the PUD / Distribution Center Head, your role involves overseeing all inbound and outbound operations at the PUD/Distribution Center to ensure timely, accurate, and profitable delivery of Apex / Surface shipments to customers. Your key responsibilities include: - Supervising daily inbound and outbound Apex / Surface operations at the PUD/ Distribution Center, including P2P operations and EDL/ ODA deliveries. - Analyzing load patterns periodically to plan pick-up and delivery routes for first and last mile connectivity. - Monitoring daily loads and planning delivery and pick-up schedules accordingly. - Ensuring timely pickups and receipt of shipments from channel partners. - Monitoring regulatory paperwork for completeness and accuracy and coordinating with origin/customers as needed. - Overseeing vehicle placement, carting/loading processes, and ensuring safe handling of all shipments. - Managing supervisors to ensure adherence to operational workflows and SOPs. - Handling exception cases and ensuring timely resolution. - Conducting staff briefings, monitoring performance, and providing necessary trainings. In terms of people management, your responsibilities include: - Providing direction, guidance, and support to employees. - Monitoring team performance to identify key performers. - Mentoring and coaching subordinates for team development. - Ensuring adequate staffing, high employee engagement, and retention of key performers. Key Result Areas and Key Performance Indicators include: - Optimizing costs in the PUD / DC. - Driving service quality and excellence. - Ensuring security of shipments and regulatory compliance. - Enhancing operations process efficiency and capability. - Cultivating a performance-driven culture and supporting employee capability building. - Driving employee morale and engagement. You will also be responsible for maintaining MIS related to the PUD / DC to track performance and ensure operational efficiency.,
