Role & responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Strategy

  • Lead the development of new corrugated products from concept to market launch.
  • Define and execute product strategies aligned with business goals, market trends, and technological advancements.
  • Work with R&D and design teams to develop innovative, customer-focused packaging solutions.
  • Assess product feasibility based on technical capabilities, production capacity, and market demand.

Market Research & Trend Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive products.
  • Analyze consumer behavior and packaging trends to guide product development.
  • Monitor industry regulations and emerging technologies to ensure product competitiveness and compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to align on product goals and ensure smooth development.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.

Product Design & Prototyping

  • Lead design and prototyping phases for new products, ensuring prototypes meet strength, durability, and customer needs.
  • Work with production to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.

Product Launch & Commercialization

  • Develop and execute product launch plans, including market testing, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams for successful product introductions.
  • Ensure timely production and logistics for launch readiness.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure products meet quality standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations.
  • Work with quality control to establish benchmarks and monitor adherence during production.
  • Address any product performance issues post-launch.

Cost Management

  • Develop and monitor cost estimates for new products to ensure budget adherence.
  • Optimize production processes for cost efficiency while maintaining product quality.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Track product performance post-launch, gathering feedback to drive improvements.
  • Plan for product updates based on market demands and technological advancements.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain detailed records of product development processes, testing, and customer feedback.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on product progress and performance.

Preferred candidate profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Packaging, or a related field (Masters preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in product development, preferably in packaging or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle, market research, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
