Assistant Manager- Logistics

As an Assistant Manager- Logistics at Purplle, you will play a crucial role in driving end-to-end logistics procurement, optimizing supply chain networks, and developing cost-effective logistics strategies. Your deep understanding of last-mile operations, logistics procurement, strategic sourcing, dispute resolution, and data-driven decision-making will be essential to achieve efficiency, cost optimization, and service excellence across the logistics ecosystem. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Strategic Leadership:** Lead logistics procurement initiatives and develop long-term sourcing strategies for efficiency and cost optimization. - **Supply Chain Network Optimization:** Plan and execute strategic supply chain network designs considering cost optimization and service levels. - **Quick Commerce & Dark Store Operations:** Drive strategic planning for last-mile operations, dark store replenishment, and logistics cost management. - **Logistics Cost Ownership & Efficiency:** Manage overall logistics cost structures for efficient resource utilization and continuous improvement. - **Loss Management:** Achieve measurable reductions in Gross Loss and Net Loss metrics through process optimization and collaboration. - **Contracting & Compliance:** Partner with legal teams to draft logistics carrier agreements in line with company policies and regulatory compliance. - **Process Improvement & Collaboration:** Identify process gaps and drive operational efficiency through cross-functional collaboration. - **3PL Relationship Management:** Build strategic partnerships with third-party logistics providers to enhance performance and service quality. - **Cost Optimization Initiatives:** Design and implement cost-saving initiatives for improved profitability. - **Dispute Resolution:** Close invoicing and reconciliation disputes with 3PLs in a timely manner. **Qualifications & Skills:** - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain preferred. - 6-12 years of experience in logistics procurement, supply chain strategy, or 3PL management. - Proven expertise in logistics cost modeling, network optimization, and vendor management. - Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a data-driven approach. - Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership abilities. - Experience in Quick Commerce/E-commerce/FMCG logistics is an added advantage. - Strong data analytics and visualization skills with proficiency in Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau.
