Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager - Logistics is responsible for supporting and managing the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics operations. This role ensures timely delivery of goods, optimizes transportation and warehousing processes, and collaborates with vendors and internal teams to maintain a smooth supply chain flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing day-to-day logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Monitor and track shipments, resolving any issues or delays promptly.
Oversee inventory management and warehouse operations to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to transportation and storage.
Analyze logistics performance metrics and recommend improvements for cost reduction and process optimization.
Prepare and maintain logistics reports, documentation, and records.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align logistics with business needs.
Manage and supervise logistics staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
Implement and maintain safety and quality standards within logistics operations.
