Assistant Manager - Legal

Role & responsibilities

1.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, distribution and supply agreements, licensing agreements, service agreements, letters of intent and powers of attorney.
• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and support business teams in monitoring and managing contract terms.

2. Intellectual Property Management

• Coordinate with external IP counsel on applications, objections and other matters related to the group companies intellectual property.
• Assist in managing the company's IP portfolio and ensuring protection of key IP assets.

3. Litigation & Dispute Resolution

• Support the management of ongoing litigation and dispute resolution processes in collaboration with external counsel when necessary.
• Assist in identifying potential legal risks and developing effective strategies to resolve disputes.

4. Mergers, Acquisitions and Strategic Transactions

• Provide legal support for M&A activities, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, including due diligence, documentation and risk assessment.
• Support cross-border transactions and ensure compliance with applicable international legal frameworks.

5. Internal Legal Support

• Collaborate with various internal departments to provide legal advice on day-to-day operational and regulatory issues.

6. Legal MIS & Documentation Management

• Maintain and update comprehensive MISs (Management Information Systems) for all legal matters, including contracts, litigation, notices and other key documentation.
• Ensure timely reporting and accurate record-keeping for internal tracking and audit purposes.
