Assistant Manager - EHS

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy, standards, and policies in alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements. Your main responsibilities will include: - Ensuring compliance with all applicable legislations related to Safety, Health, and Environment across the Plant/Organization. You will review the legal compliance tracker and implement counter measures for any identified gaps on a monthly basis. - Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in EHS, specifically on environmental-related areas, risk assessments, processes, and auditing. You will develop and implement a framework for managing safety risks, providing key performance indicators (KPIs) to the top management on a monthly basis through the Management Information System (MIS). - Coordinating with the plant HR team to lead, train, and develop members on EHS activities. You will organize awareness day celebrations and safety committee meetings to drive a culture of EHS compliance within the organization. - Formulating the annual budget for the EHS function and ensuring adherence to it through regular reviews. You will also be responsible for conducting EHS risk assessments and recommending mitigation initiatives and controls. - Compiling safety documentation as per the Safety Manual requirements and maintaining necessary records related to first aid, medical treatment cases, and injuries. Additionally, you will conduct EHS inspections, audits, and mock drills to ensure preparedness for any disasters.
