Job Description

The Assistant Maintenance Engineer will support the Maintenance Engineer in performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on machinery, equipment, and facilities. The role involves troubleshooting, assisting in repairs, maintaining equipment logs, and ensuring minimal downtime of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and technical issues in machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failure.
  • Support in installing, repairing, and replacing machinery parts and equipment.
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or manual logs.
  • Ensure tools and spare parts inventory is adequately maintained.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures during maintenance operations.
  • Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
  • Report any significant equipment faults or risks to the senior maintenance engineer or manager.
  • Support energy efficiency and cost-saving initiatives where applicable.
  • Participate in training and development programs to keep updated with technological changes.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in maintenance or a related technical role in a hotel or resort operation

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in shifts or respond to emergencies, if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PLCs, HVAC systems, or hydraulics/pneumatics (depending on industry).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards).
  • Familiarity with maintenance software or CMMS tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
