Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining a 360-degree energy innovations startup with a focus on sustainable energy solutions as a full-time Assistant Legal Affairs. Your primary responsibility will be managing all legal and compliance requirements within the company. This role will provide you with hands-on exposure to corporate law, contracts, and compliance in a dynamic startup environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in drafting, reviewing, and vetting contracts including SHAs, NDAs, NCAs, vendor agreements, and service contracts. - Aid in registering and safeguarding company trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets. - Ensure organizational compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. - Conduct legal vetting of documents to protect the company's interests. - Support in managing and securing the company's Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio. - Ensure compliance with corporate, labour, startup, and industry-specific regulations. - Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. - Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and statutory authorities. - Assist in creating and updating internal legal policies, compliance processes, and governance practices. - Maintain organized legal documentation and contract databases. - Provide timely legal support to different departments. - Conduct research on regulatory requirements and licences for internal and cross-border operations. Qualifications Required: - B.A., LL.B. (Integrated) / LLM. from a recognized university. - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in corporate law, contracts, or compliance. - Strong understanding of legal compliance, contract vetting, and intellectual property (IP). - Good research and drafting skills. - Strong organizational and documentation abilities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced startup environment. - Proficient in legal research tools, document management systems, and other relevant legal software. - Basic negotiation skills for drafting and negotiating contracts or settlements. - Knowledge of key Indian regulations related to corporate, commercial, intellectual property, environmental, and energy sectors. - High level of integrity and professional ethics.
