This newly created integral role within the Calcination Business Unit will assume global accountability for raw material blend planning and production control within the Rain Carbon organization. Your primary objective is to maximize Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) margins by minimizing Green Petroleum Coke (GPC) input costs while meeting rigorous CPC quality requirements and shipment schedules. Your role will focus on integrating USA and India - GPC procurement, CPC production, and blending operations. This position requires a deep understanding of production operations, blend planning and cost optimization, supply chain management, and quality assurance. Establish a global production planning function at Hyderabad, India, which integrates and controls raw material blend plans across the USA and India calcining operations. Evaluate Green Pet Coke (GPC) sourcing options and provide recommendations to the Procurement team and Production teams to minimize raw material costs whilst still achieving all CPC quality requirements and specifications. Develop long-term production blend plans which identify the timeline for procurement and delivery of GPC raw material shipments to enable production of in-specification CPC product to meet agreed customer CPC delivery schedules. Develop and produce optimal blend schedules and recipes for petcoke blending feed to calcination plants. Monitor GPC inventories to ensure that the optimum set of raw materials are available for use to meet production blend plans. Maintain advance LP modules for planning, economic evaluation, and predictive calculation. Monitor calcination unit production rates and manage petcoke inventory to align with pipeline schedules. Consider logistics costs for raw material and finished product handling as an input to determining optimum (lowest cost) outcomes. Integrate CPC movements and CPC blending between Rain Carbons USA and India operations. Regularly interact with senior-level Commercial, Production, and Technical Service Departments within Rain Carbons global organization. Work closely with plant managers and the operations team to align production control with daily and long-term production goals. Participate in the development of tools to improve petcoke blending capabilities and support long-term strategies. Centralize production planning functions in India to leverage the lower-cost business environment, including daily SAP transaction activity. Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators to track the effectiveness and efficiency of the Production Blend Planning process in the US and India. Provide leadership to the Global Production Planning team. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 10-15 years of similar planning/blending experience with proficiency in Linear Programming modeling. Strong understanding of calcination/metallurgical/refinery plant flow and key unit interactions. - Candidate preferably should have work experience in carbon/metallurgical/refinery industries with a strong understanding of raw material blending processes. - Strong finance and analytical skills with a strong intuition for numbers. - Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. - Ability to work in a global, cross-functional team environment with an ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
