Assistant General Manager - Fabric Sourcing (Knits)

You will be responsible for sourcing Knit fabric at the right time, from the right place, and at the right cost. It is crucial to approve the color/design according to the buyer's specifications. You will also need to advise buyers on the advantages and limitations of the Knit fabric, highlighting any anticipatory problems in fabrics well in advance before order bookings. Initiating new developments such as prints, library, and research and development will be part of your role. You will be required to make regular visits to new vendors both in the country and overseas for accreditation and to strengthen the relationship between vendors and our company. As part of your responsibilities, you will need to analyze fabric quality, advise on final fabric cost, and provide fabric order delivery schedules to merchants for booking orders. Understanding the type of print and selecting dye stuffs based on buyers" test parameters required in the garment performance will be essential. Inviting Mills with their new fabric ranges to give presentations to designers/merchants will also be part of your duties. Your role will involve making efficient use of resources, strategizing innovative ideas to simplify processes and enhance efficiency, as well as generating MIS reports and providing them to the concerned departments. Moreover, you should have the ability to drive teams to generate innovative products consistently. Your contribution to the team will be critical in achieving successful outcomes.,
