AGM Exports

Key Responsibilities

Export Operations & Planning

• Manage end-to-end export operations, from order finalization to cargo arrival at destination.
• Plan, arrange, and monitor shipping line bookings, container allocations, break bulk shipments, and chartered vessels.
• Coordinate with customs agents, freight forwarders, and port authorities for seamless clearance.
• Oversee export documentation (shipping bills, invoices, packing lists, COO, LC documents, etc.).
• Ensure timely execution of shipments as per contractual terms.
  

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Identify, hire, and manage vendors (CHA, transporters, surveyors, freight forwarders, and vessel operators)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with

  shipping lines, customs authorities, port officials, and overseas clients

  .
• Develop vendor partnerships for large-scale contracts ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.
  

Commercial & Contract Management

• Negotiate freight rates, charter agreements, and export contracts to achieve cost competitiveness.
• Monitor and control demurrage, detention, and port handling charges.
• Manage

  LCs, bank documentation, and payment terms

  in coordination with finance.
• Track competitor freight strategies and market trends to drive commercial advantage.
  

Compliance & Regulatory

• Ensure compliance with

  DGFT, Customs, RBI, and EXIM regulations

  .
• Apply and track export benefits, duty drawback, EPCG, and other government incentive schemes.
• Maintain HS code accuracy, FTAs/PTAs benefits, and country-specific export compliance.
• Regularly update management on changes in EXIM policies and trade laws.
  

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor the export operations team, ensuring high performance and accountability.
• Establish KPIs for shipment timelines, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with production, planning, quality, finance, and logistics teams for smooth execution.
  

Strategic Initiatives

• Develop new logistics solutions for emerging markets and large projects.
• Drive continuous improvement in export processes, documentation efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Support business expansion by strengthening overseas logistics network and vendor base.
  

Desired Candidate

• Graduate / Post Graduate in Commerce, International Business, or Supply Chain.
• Diploma/Certification in EXIM/Foreign Trade preferred.
• Strong knowledge of

  export operations across bulk, break bulk, containerized, and chartered shipments

  .
• Proven track record in

  vendor management, shipping line negotiations, and customs clearance

  .Excellent understanding of

  export incentives, DGFT schemes, and trade compliance

  .
• Commercial acumen with strong contract negotiation skills.
• Leadership ability to manage teams and vendors effectively.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office.
