Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Fashion Designer with a deep appreciation for refined aesthetics and luxury craftsmanship to join our creative team. This role requires someone who can translate the ethos of quiet luxury into sophisticated, wearable garments that align with the Alka Hari vision.

You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing seasonal collections that marry subtle innovation with enduring style.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept Development

  : Create seasonal mood boards, color palettes, and inspiration references aligned with the brand’s identity and customer profile.

• Design Execution

  : Design and sketch womenswear pieces with a focus on clean lines, luxurious fabrics, and impeccable tailoring.

• Fabric & Trim Selection

  : Source and select high-quality, sustainable materials and trims that align with the brand’s luxury standards.

• Technical Development

  : Work closely with pattern makers and sample rooms to develop prototypes, ensuring precision in fit, drape, and construction.

• Collection Development

  : Build cohesive collections with strong narratives and commercial viability, balancing creativity with wearability.

• Trend & Market Research

  : Stay informed on global fashion trends, consumer behavior, and emerging materials, while maintaining a timeless aesthetic.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

  : Partner with production, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure design integrity through to final product.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing womenswear, preferably in luxury or contemporary brands.
• Strong portfolio showcasing minimalist, elevated womenswear designs.
• Excellent understanding of garment construction, tailoring, and draping.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with 3D design tools is a plus.
• Keen eye for detail, proportion, and fabric behavior.
• Deep understanding of the quiet luxury space and a refined design sensibility.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
