Assistant Export Logistics Manager

Job Purpose:

To manage and oversee end-to-end export logistics operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods while maintaining coordination with internal departments, shipping lines, consolidators, and overseas partners.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Booking & Container Management

2. Documentation & Compliance

• Submit

  Shipping Instructions (SI)

  to shipping lines and follow up with overseas agents for timely BL approval (RFS OBL, OBL SOB, Express BL).
• Ensure timely

  VGM submission

  on ODeX or relevant platforms.
• Coordinate

  VIA permissions

  , special approvals, or additional documentation requests with shipping lines.
• Monitor the dispatch and delivery status, coordinating until the consignee confirms receipt.

3. Issue Handling & Coordination

• Handle cases of

  container offloading

  , liaise with shipping lines for offloading letters and necessary invoices.

4. Rate Negotiation & Cost Control

• Negotiate

  freight rates for FCL/LCL shipments

  with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and consolidators to ensure competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with accounts and shipping lines for

  invoice verification, credit notes

  , and cost optimization.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  export documentation

  , Incoterms (FOB, CIF, etc.), and international shipping practices.
• Hands-on experience with

  shipping portals

  (e.g., ODeX) and

  shipping line coordination

• Ability to

  analyze logistics costs

  , negotiate rates, and manage multiple bookings.
