Assistant Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to support our finance department with day-to-day accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, handling reconciliations, and supporting audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Handle data entry for accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and on time
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes
• Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions
• Support internal and external audits
• Knowledge of ERP/accounting softwares ( tally, ERP 9, ERP Prime, etc.)
• Help manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance
• Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payments or invoices
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
• 2-4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with GST & TDS filing
• Familiarity with ERP systems
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
