Assembly Technician

Responsibilities: Prototype Assembly & Build: Assemble prototype battery packs based on build configurations and design intent. Use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment like torque drivers and spot welders. Set up and execute various tests on battery components and packs, including functional testing, leak testing. Utilize diagnostic tools and lab equipment such as multimeters and data loggers to collect and analyze data. Review and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure proper build and function. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in prototype builds. Conduct root cause analysis on failed components or systems. Communicate findings and collaborate with engineers to implement design changes and improvements. Maintain detailed and accurate records of all build activities, test results, and repairs. Contribute to the development of new assembly and test procedures, providing feedback for design for assembly (DFA). Ensure all work is performed in compliance with strict safety protocols, especially Qualifications: Education: Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and precision. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex issues. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with engineers and documenting work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team. A proactive and adaptable mindset, comfortable working under tight deadlines and in an environment with extreme uncertainty. Additional Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet project deadlines. Must be a self-starter with a passion for the EV and renewable energy industry.
