Job Description

As a Compliance Team Leader at Millennium Management, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the Compliance program activities in the Asia region. Your responsibilities will include: - **Team Leadership & Oversight:** - Manage and lead a team supporting the broader Asia compliance team. - Provide mentorship and guidance to team members for high performance. - Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively in a fast-paced environment. - **Program Compliance Management:** - Supervise the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies and controls. - Ensure trade monitoring, e-comms surveillance, and regulatory reporting are conducted as per requirements. - Assist in managing additions/deletions to the Restricted List and trade requests. - **Policy Development & Maintenance:** - Support the drafting and enhancement of compliance policies and procedures. - Review policies regularly to ensure effectiveness and alignment with regulatory expectations. - Make recommendations for mitigating compliance risks and improving operational efficiency. - **Internal Investigations & Risk Assessments:** - Conduct internal investigations into compliance-related matters. - Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Your experience should include: - Over 12 years of compliance or relevant legal experience in a global investment firm. - Proven track record in managing compliance programs, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations. - Prior experience in team management and mentoring is highly desirable. Your technical expertise should cover: - Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in Asia. - Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring compliance policies. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex compliance issues. Your leadership and interpersonal skills should encompass: - Exceptional leadership abilities to effectively manage and motivate a team. - Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. - Ability to build and maintain relationships with key partners. Furthermore, your educational background ideally includes a Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field. You will also collaborate with regional and global teams, prepare compliance reports, and stay updated on industry best practices to address compliance challenges effectively.,
