Research Scientist of Balancehero aims to achieve AI Excellence in the fintech domain by investigating actual problems in business. We are creating trustworthy and reliable AI systems for ‘Finance for All’. We are looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive ‘Research Scientist’ with a strong research background to resolve business problems.

About the Responsibilities

• Research LLM Applications on Fintech Domain
• Research AI on Fintech Domain
• Resolve Industrial Problem using AI technologies
• Engage in high impact applied research to take the latest AI developments
• Shows AI Excellence by publishing research papers and protects technologies by publishing patents

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields OR M.S. in the above fields plus 4 years of experience in Applied Research
• Publications in AI domain/Fintech Applications of AI as an first author
• Has worked on an LLM (open source or commercial) that is currently available for use
• Experience in Deep Learning Framework

Preferred qualification

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
• Publications in AI domain as an first author at Neurips, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, EMNLP, AAAI, etc
• Publications in Fintech Applications of AI as an first author at ACM ICAIF, IEEE CiFer, ICFTAI, etc
• Core contributor to team that has trained a large language model from scratch
• Domain experience in Fintech domain such as Credit Risk, Fraud Detection, Underwriting Decisioning, etc
• Possess the ability to own and pursue a research agenda, including choosing impactful research problems and autonomously carrying out long-running projects.
