Art Director

As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for studying design briefs, scheduling projects, conceptualizing visuals, preparing rough drafts, and developing illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by hand. You will need to use appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic, work with copywriters and the creative team to produce the final design, test graphics across various media, and amend designs after feedback to ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand. To excel in this role, you should have proven graphic designing experience, a strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics, familiarity with design software and technologies such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop, a keen eye for aesthetics and details, and the ability to work methodically and meet deadlines. While a degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is a plus, it is not mandatory. In addition to graphic design responsibilities, you will also be required to handle social media duties. This includes brainstorming creative ideas for social campaigns, staying updated on the best social media and user engagement practices, engaging with audiences on social media platforms, creating content calendars, ideating campaigns and contests, creating monthly marketing reports, coordinating with the creative team, tracking social media influencers, and keeping up to date with social media trends. To succeed in the social media aspect of the role, you should have strong logic and reasoning skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to think creatively, copywriting skills (an advantage), and be well-versed in social ecosystems such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Additionally, knowledge of search engine behavior, SEO, and digital processes like data extraction and building reports will be beneficial.
