They are looking for Power transmission Products experience like gears, gear box, chain, couplings, pulleys, bearings, mechanical seals, belts, conveyors, etc who have working with cement, mining steel plants, power plants,

BASIC FUNCTION

The Area Sales Manager - is responsible for developing, promoting, selling and increasing

gross sales and profits in territories managed by Martin India, through all appropriate Sales

Channels. This role will exploit markets with maximum growth potential to realize return on

investment goals.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for achieving Targets as agreed through original equipment & spare parts sales.

2. Manages Territory sales & service personnel including sales training, performance management,

promotions, disciplinary actions, salary, and compensation decisions.

3. Manages sales documents, sales records and information; calculates sales figures and forecasts

annual sales volume of assigned accounts.

4. Builds working relationships with Dealer/Distributor channels, to promote the Martin brand and

increase market share.

5. Develops territory sales plan and sales expense budgets and manages sales to achieve sales goals

while operating within established budget.

6. Develops sales channel strategy that maximizes sales penetration and market share in all products.

7. Travels to key accounts and directly assists sales force at all levels in the sales and promotions of

products; documents on-site customer problems and assists sales force in the resolution of those

problems.

8. Documents and analyzes competitor and market research data.

9. Reviews and evaluates requests for proposal (RFQ).

10. Implements & Supports sales strategies & channels with Martin engineering solutions in target

industries.

11. Analyzes product/service improvement opportunities monthly; works with service and technical

personnel in developing new ideas and innovations to meet ever changing customer needs; write

and updates assigned sales manuals.

12. Maintains accurate reports of sales expenses continually striving to operate within established

budgetary guidelines.

13. Initiates procedures which comply with Indian Safety Standards regarding safety issues, use of

safety equipment, material safety data sheets, etc.

14. Directs sales meetings as required.

15. Establishes individual and team goals which are aligned with the Company's business strategies and

objectives.

16. Functions as a contributing member of the Business Units Management team and other teams, as

assigned.

17. Assists employees in the development of their individual goals and monitors their performance

towards the accomplishments of those goals; ensures individual's goals are aligned with the business

strategy of Martin Engineering.

18. Responsible for MIS for own department

19. Ensure payments are collected as per agreed terms.

20. Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred candidate profile

They are looking for Power transmission Products experience like gears, gear box, chain, couplings, pulleys, bearings, lubricants, mechanical seals, belts, conveyors, etc who have working with cement, mining, steel plants, power plants, 

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
