Designation Imports Purchase & Planning Engineer Education : Any Graduate with relevant experience . Experience : 4-8 Years Location - Shivane, Pune Job Responsibilities - Import Planning & Sourcing : Plan and monitor the requirement of imported components based on BOMs and project schedules. Identify and manage international suppliers for control panel and wiring harness components. Evaluate vendor quotations, negotiate pricing, lead times, and support PO recommendations. Align import planning with engineering release and production priorities. ¢ Monitor open orders, supplier confirmations, and delivery schedules via SAP. Material Requirement Planning (MRP): ¢ Execute MRP runs in SAP and review procurement proposals for accuracy and demand coverage. ¢ Analyze demand vs. stock vs. lead time to ensure availability of critical imported parts. ¢ Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams to align material availability with production timelines. ¢ Optimize stock levels, avoiding overstock or shortages of high-value imported items. Wiring Harness & Control Panel BOM Understanding: ¢ Interpret and analyze BOMs for wiring harnesses, including connectors, terminals, ducts, wires, and accessories. ¢ Understand part-level specifications for electrical and electro-mechanical components. ¢ Coordinate with design and engineering teams for new part introductions or alternates. ¢ Identify long-lead items and plan buffer stock or early ordering accordingly. SAP Operations: ¢ Manage procurement planning and tracking through SAP MM (Material Management) module. ¢ Maintain accurate material master data, sourcing info records, and vendor details in SAP. ¢ Review PO status, material availability reports, and consumption patterns regularly. ¢ Generate SAP-based reports for planning and management review. Required Skills: ¢ Proven experience in import planning and material procurement for manufacturing or engineering organizations. ¢ Strong command of SAP MM module (MRP, PO, Material Master, BOM analysis). ¢ Knowledge of electrical components , wiring harnesses , and control panel assemblies . ¢ Analytical mindset with good understanding of supply planning, lead time management , and inventory control . ¢ Ability to coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Production, Purchase) for demand and delivery alignment.
