Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Plan, implement, and achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the region.
  • Ensure both

    primary (distributor)

    and

    secondary (retailer/project)

    sales targets are met.
  • Prepare area-wise sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
  • Identify key growth areas and design territory-wise sales strategies.

2. Channel Development & Expansion

  • Appoint and manage distributors, dealers, and retailers across the assigned region.
  • Monitor distributor performance (stock, sales, collection, and claims).
  • Conduct regular market visits to strengthen relationships and ensure product availability.
  • Introduce schemes, incentives, and branding activities to boost channel engagement.

3. Project & Institutional Sales

  • Develop business from builders, contractors, architects, and tile applicators.
  • Build a project pipeline and coordinate with site engineers for product approvals and trials.
  • Liaise with consultants and developers for inclusion of products in BOQs.

4. Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead, mentor, and monitor a team of

    Sales Executives / Territory Sales Officers.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure adherence to sales discipline.
  • Train field staff, distributors, and influencers (masons/applicators) on product and selling skills.
  • Ensure market mapping and daily reporting compliance from team members.

5. Marketing & Promotion

  • Coordinate with the marketing team for regional trade activations and campaigns.
  • Organize mason meets, dealer meets, product demos, and sampling activities.
  • Enhance brand visibility through POP, site branding, and influencer programs.

6. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track competitor products, pricing, schemes, and market share.
  • Provide insights on new opportunities, pricing strategy, and consumer behavior.
  • Submit daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports on sales, collection, and market activities.
