About the job

Role Overview:

Area Sales Manager – General Trade (GT)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute new product launches – from forecasting to visibility and promotions.
  • Appoint and develop distributors/stockists – negotiate ROI, onboard, train, and drive performance.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and expand retail outlet coverage.
  • Lead and coach a team of Sales Officers, Executives, and Merchandisers.
  • Monitor stock flow, ensure merchandising standards, and implement trade schemes.
  • Track market insights, competitor activities, and consumer feedback for timely interventions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams – Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.


Requirements:

  • Graduate;

    MBA preferred

    .
  • 3–8 years of

    FMCG Sales experience

    in the

    General Trade

    channel.
  • Proven track record in

    distributor development

    and

    market expansion

    .
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and execution skills.
  • Proficiency in using

    SFA, CRM tools, MS Excel & PowerPoint

    .
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
