Role & responsibilities Installation and Commissioning Install, align, and commission VSAT antennas and related equipment at client sites. Configure modems, routers, and power supplies for optimal performance. System Monitoring and Maintenance Monitor VSAT networks to ensure continuous connectivity and performance. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to resolve hardware or signal issues. Technical Support Provide on-site and remote support for clients experiencing connectivity issues. Coordinate with Network Operations Center (NOC) for escalated technical problems. Testing and Troubleshooting Use test equipment to assess signal strength, latency, and system performance. Diagnose and fix faults in RF components, cabling, and satellite modems. Documentation and Reporting Maintain records of installations, maintenance activities, and system upgrades. Prepare reports for clients and internal teams. Compliance and Safety Ensure installations meet industry standards and safety regulations. Follow company protocols and satellite provider requirements. Client Training and Interaction Train end-users on basic system operation and troubleshooting. Communicate technical issues clearly and professionally to non-technical clients. Preferred candidate profile A motivated and eager learner with a basic understanding of satellite communication and networking principles. Interested in gaining hands-on experience in VSAT installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Quick to adapt, with strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
