We are looking for a result-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead our sales expansion across the Vidarbha region.

Job Summary:

Ajit Bakery is seeking an experienced and proactive Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead and expand our sales and distribution network across the Vidarbha region. The ideal candidate must have core experience in FMCG sales, especially perishable and daily-use products, and must be capable of setting up and managing a widespread dealer and distributor network. The role requires strong leadership skills, extensive travel, and a deep understanding of regional market geography—including small towns, talukas, and villages.

Key Responsibilities:

Channel Development:

Develop and expand a robust network of distributors and dealers across the entire Vidarbha region.

Ensure regular follow-ups for stock movement, order booking, and supply chain coordination.

Team Management:

Lead and guide a team of Sales Officers and Senior Sales Executives.

Set individual and team sales targets and ensure their achievement through regular monitoring and motivation.

Reporting & Accountability:

Monitor daily sales activities and submit structured MIS reports to the senior management.

Track sales performance and market trends and take corrective actions as needed.

Market Coverage & Penetration:

Visit rural, semi-urban, and urban markets including small villages, talukas, and remote areas to ensure brand visibility and market penetration.

Understand local demand patterns and customize strategies accordingly.

Competitor Analysis:

Keep track of competitor pricing, schemes, distribution network, and market activities.

Compliance & Discipline:

Ensure the team maintains discipline in terms of reporting, beat plan adherence, and target achievement.

Candidate Profile:

Age: Between 30 to 50 years

Education: Graduation in any stream (MBA in Marketing/Sales preferred)

Experience: Minimum 6–10 years of core sales experience in FMCG, especially in perishable and daily-need products

Regional Expertise:

Deep knowledge of the entire Vidarbha geography, including small villages and talukas

Existing network in the local market will be an added advantage

Skills Required:

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Sound knowledge of field sales reporting formats and basic computer usage

Self-motivated and target-oriented

Willing to travel extensively
