Responsibilities: Menu planning and preparation Inventory management Staff supervision and training Quality control SKILLS : Strong culinary skills Leadership and management Communication and problem-solving Pastry Chef Role: Specializes in creating sweet and savory pastries, desserts, and baked goods. Responsibilities: - Developing recipes and menus - Preparing and baking pastries and desserts - Decorating and presenting desserts - Managing pastry kitchen operations - Skills: - Creativity and attention to detail - Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients - Artistic skills for decorating and presentation Both roles require culinary expertise, but the sous chef is more focused on kitchen management, while the pastry chef is specialized in the art of pastry-making.
