Job Title: Planning & Urban Designer Job Description: As a Planning & Urban Designer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing land use plans and programs that help create sustainable and aesthetically pleasing urban environments. You will work closely with government agencies, private developers, and community stakeholders to design urban spaces that effectively balance economic, social, and environmental needs. Your role will involve conducting site analysis, preparing design proposals, and ensuring compliance with zoning regulations and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities: - working knowledge in Middle east Urban Design project. - Conduct research and analysis to inform urban design and planning projects. - Create comprehensive design plans, including site layouts, landscaping, and infrastructure integration. - Engage with community members and stakeholders to gather input and foster collaboration on planning initiatives. - Prepare presentations and reports to communicate design concepts and policies to clients and public officials. - Monitor project implementation and make adjustments to plans as needed. - Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure cohesive project development. - Stay current with urban design trends, policies, and best practices. Skills and Tools Required: - Strong understanding of urban planning and design principles. - Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS tools. - Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences. - Strong analytical skills to conduct site assessments and environmental impact studies. - Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. - Knowledge of zoning laws, land use regulations, and environmental policies. - Creative problem-solving skills to address urban challenges and develop innovative design solutions.
