Apprentice - Website Designer

About The Role

We are seeking a Apprentice - Website Designer to support the Marketing and Digital teams by executing small-to-mid-size web design tasks and managing updates on our Drupal-based website. This role combines creative design execution with hands-on CMS responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, understands brand consistency, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Apprentice - Website Designer, you’ll work on both design and website management tasks, gaining experience in web design, content management, and SEO optimization.

Design Responsibilities

  • Create static assets for web use including banners, hero images, promotional graphics, and landing page visuals.
  • Assist in minor UI improvements, such as component padding, alignment, and spacing, when needed.

Website & CMS (Drupal) Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day website content updates using Drupal CMS, including:
    • Uploading and formatting blogs, events, insights, whitepapers, case studies, and podcasts.
    • Adding metadata, OG tags, alt tags, and internal links as needed.
    • Manage component-based page layouts (paragraphs, blocks, or layout builder).

SEO & Optimization Support

  • Implement SEO recommendations provided by the SEO team, including:
    • Updating title tags, meta descriptions, H1-H6 headers, and internal links.

Quality Assurance

  • Test pages on major browsers and screen sizes before publishing updates live.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong interest in web design and digital marketing.
  • Works well in a team and contributes positive energy and fresh ideas.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 0 – 1 year of experience working on Drupal or WordPress-based websites (preferably Drupal 9 or 10).
  • Proven experience managing content in a componentized CMS structure.
  • Experience designing for the web using Figma or Adobe XD.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is required.
