Job Description

Application Support (2+ Years)

Location:

System Administrator / Application Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Manage and administer
Linux/Unix
servers; perform OS performance tuning and optimization.
Support
Windows
systems where required.
Provide
L1/L2 support
for trading applications and electronic trading platforms.
Develop and enhance
administration, monitoring, and support tools
using Python/Perl/Shell/SQL.
Perform
ECN connectivity
support and troubleshooting.
Work on
SQL Server / Oracle
databases for monitoring & validation.
Analyze
network captures
, troubleshoot network/firewall issues.
Manage
multicast messaging
(preferably Tibco Rendezvous).
Support and maintain tools such as
Geneos, Dynatrace, Bladelogic, Autosys, CFT, MQ, SFTP, Splunk, Grafana
, etc.
Collaborate with DevOps teams using
Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Artifactory
.
Work closely with trading desks; understanding of
Capital Markets
environment is essential.

Required Skills

Must Have

Strong experience in
Linux/Unix System Administration
Scripting:
Python, Perl, Shell, SQL
Knowledge of
Capital Markets / Electronic Trading
Good understanding of
networking
, firewalls, multicast messaging
Experience with
Geneos, Dynatrace, Autosys, MQ, SFTP, Splunk, Grafana
Experience on
DevOps tools
(Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Artifactory)
Database exposure to
SQL Server / Oracle
ECN connectivity knowledge

Eligibility

2+ years
experience in System Administration / Application Support
Experience in
capital markets

financial domain
