Mainframe Developer

with strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and CICS. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working on client-facing projects and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and CICS.
Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, coding, testing, and deployment.
Provide production support, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on client projects.
Follow the SDLC process and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.
Utilize mainframe utilities and tools effectively for development and support activities.

Equired Skills & Experience

4–6 years of hands-on experience in mainframe technologies COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, CICS.
Experience working on client projects with end-to-end delivery exposure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Sound understanding of SDLC methodologies and experience executing projects within SDLC frameworks.
Proficiency with mainframe tools such as

TSO/ISPF
SPUFI
File Manager
Changeman
SAVRS

Prior production support experience is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
