Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Mainframe Developer
with over 6 years of hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and MQ
. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, maintenance, and production support
of business-critical mainframe applications. You will work collaboratively in an Agile environment
, contributing to both new feature development and production stability. Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and implement mainframe-based applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.

Perform
unit testing
, debugging, and defect resolution to ensure high-quality deliverables. -
Provide
production support
on a rotational basis, including incident analysis and root cause resolution. -
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver enhancements.

Use
SCLM
for configuration management and version control. -
Monitor, schedule, and troubleshoot batch jobs using
Control-M
. -
Participate in
Agile ceremonies
including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews. -
Document technical designs, workflows, and processes as needed.

Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and compliance policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
-
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of
6 years of experience
in mainframe development and support. -
Strong proficiency in
COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and MQ
. -
Hands-on experience with
SCLM
configuration tool. -
Experience with
Control-M
for batch job scheduling and monitoring. -
Familiarity with
Agile methodologies
and working in sprint-based environments. -
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Experience with performance tuning and optimization in mainframe systems.

Knowledge of database concepts and tools related to DB2.

Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD concepts.
