Application Developer

Project Role Description :

Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.

Summary: As an Application Developer, you will engage in the design, construction, and configuration of applications tailored to fulfill specific business processes and application requirements. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to understand project needs, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring that applications function seamlessly to support organizational goals. You will also participate in testing and troubleshooting to enhance application performance and user experience, contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in. Roles & Responsibilities: a Provide routine support and maintenance for assigned non-Epic clinical and business applications in both production and non-production environments. b Assist with application implementation, upgrades, and testing phases, ensuring system reliability and accuracy. c Support end-users by troubleshooting application issues, resolving errors, and providing coaching or consulting as needed. d Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to understand workflows and identify opportunities for system improvements and efficiencies. e Participate in training sessions, develop training materials, and support end-user education to enhance application adoption and effective use. f Manage system configurations such as user accounts, security settings, preference lists, and other application-specific setups. g Monitor system performance, error queues, alerts, and batch jobs, taking corrective actions or escalating issues as necessary. h Support compliance with audit and security requirements related to the applications. i Handle service requests, change requests, and new build deployments as part of ongoing application management. j Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely support for critical issues outside regular hours. k Work closely with IT teams and vendors to coordinate fixes, upgrades, and enhancements. Professional & Technical Skills: a Experience supporting clinical or healthcare-related applications outside of Epic systems. b Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate and resolve technical issues. c Good communication skills to interact effectively with clinical staff, IT teams, and vendors. d Familiarity with healthcare workflows and terminology is beneficial to understand user needs and system impact. e Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. f Hands on experience of Servers, Network, Security, Vulnerabilities & Remediation, Disaster Recovery g Experience with system testing, configuration, and documentation. h Previous experience in healthcare IT or clinical informatics roles supporting non-Epic applications. i Knowledge of specific healthcare applications such as Practice Management systems, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) other than Epic, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or other ancillary clinical systems. j Familiarity with compliance and security standards in healthcare IT. Additional Information: Ready to work in shifts/weekends on Rotational basis15 years full time education
