Apparel Production Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Kolkata for women Apparel and scarves Production Manager. The role involves overseeing every aspect of the production process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure timely completion of orders. The Manager will monitor quality standards, manage workforce allocation, oversee procurement of raw materials, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The role requires maintaining effective communication with suppliers, vendors, and the internal team to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute production schedules to meet delivery timelines
• Manage end-to-end apparel production from sampling to final shipment
• Coordinate closely with merchandising, sampling, sourcing, and quality teams
• Ensure availability of fabrics, trims, and accessories as per production plan
• Monitor line balancing, capacity planning, and productivity
• Maintain quality standards in line with European brand requirements
• Handle buyer specifications, fit approvals, and production-related feedback
• Identify risks in advance and take corrective actions to avoid delays
• Ensure adherence to company processes and buyer compliance norms

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in apparel/garment production
• Strong knowledge of production planning and execution
• Understanding of European buyers’ quality, compliance, and documentation standards
• Hands-on experience in bulk production management
• Good leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines

Education:

Degree/Diploma in Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, Garment Technology, Textile Engineering

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Experience working with European brands or export houses
• Knowledge of woven garments
