The Opportunity We’re looking to collaborate with apparel designers or studios who specialize in functional, design-led workwear — specifically chef coats, aprons, and kitchen apparel. This is not a full-time position — it is a project-based opportunity to co-develop garments that serve both the practical and expressive needs of modern culinary professionals. Who We’re Looking For You design apparel that balances form, function, and identity . Your work considers movement, ergonomics, and texture — while aligning with the visual and cultural language of food and hospitality today. Ideal collaborators are: Experienced in designing uniforms, workwear, or capsule apparel collections Familiar with material sourcing, fit development, and finishing details Attuned to how chefs, front-of-house teams, and hospitality brands want to present themselves Comfortable working from brief — translating brand values into wearable formats Interested in thoughtful, contemporary silhouettes rather than standard-issue utility wear What You Might Work On Custom-designed chef coats, aprons, or full apparel sets for restaurants, cafes, or culinary events Design prototypes and production-ready tech packs for small-batch manufacturing Modern reinterpretations of classic hospitality garments Collaborative development of signature pieces for food brands or founder-led ventures Limited-run or made-to-order garments that reflect seasonality, identity, or spatial design Eligibility Portfolio showcasing relevant apparel design (ideally uniforms, workwear, or hospitality fashion) Knowledge of construction, fabric selection, and fit Ability to collaborate with chefs, founders, and visual designers Experience working with production vendors or sampling units Independent designers, fashion studios, and workwear-focused teams are welcome Location-flexible; remote collaboration and sample shipping supported per project How to Express Interest Please send the following to connect@paxika.com : A short introduction or studio profile Portfolio or images of relevant apparel work Notes on sampling or production capacity Any experience designing for food, hospitality, or performance settings Show more Show less
