APIC Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy APIs using
IBM API Connect (v10 preferred)
.
Implement
API Gateway policies
, security (OAuth2, JWT, LDAP, TLS), and rate limiting.
Work with backend integration systems such as
ESB, MQ, or REST/SOAP services
.
Manage
API lifecycle
publishing, versioning, and retirement through APIC portal.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, DevOps, QA, and business) for seamless integration.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize API performance and security.
Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation as per organizational standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

36 years
of hands-on experience with
IBM API Connect
and API management.
Strong experience with
RESTful API design
, JSON, XML, Swagger/OpenAPI specs.
Familiarity with
GatewayScript
,
JavaScript
, and
XSLT
transformations.
Exposure to
OAuth, JWT, LDAP, TLS, and API security best practices
.
Basic understanding of
CI/CD pipelines
,
Git
, and
container-based deployments (Docker/Kubernetes)
.
Good communication skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setup
Experience in
banking, financial services, or enterprise-grade systems
preferred.

Good to Have:

Experience in
DataPower Gateway configuration

Exposure to
Azure API Management
or
AWS API Gateway
.
Knowledge of
microservices architecture
and
Spring Boot
.
