Position Overview

The Project Manager for Interior Fit-Outs & Corporate Interior Projects is responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering high-quality interior construction projects from initiation to completion. This role ensures seamless execution through effective planning, contractor management, cost control, quality assurance, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in interior fit-outs, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Strategy

  • Develop comprehensive project execution plans, including timelines, budgets, procurement schedules, and resource allocations specific to interior fit-out works.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, architects, and internal teams to establish project goals, scope, and technical requirements.
  • Identify project risks early and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all project objectives align with client expectations and organizational targets.

2. Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and appoint subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors specializing in interior fit-out trades (civil, MEP, carpentry, finishes, etc.).
  • Negotiate contracts, review quotations, and ensure all parties comply with project requirements, specifications, and timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and oversee efficient procurement processes.

3. Budget & Cost Management

  • Track and control project budgets throughout all phases of interior construction.
  • Evaluate cost-saving measures, propose value engineering options, and manage variation orders effectively.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial documentation.
  • Prepare budget reports and financial analyses to ensure project profitability and cost discipline.

4. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Implement rigorous quality control mechanisms to ensure all interior fit-out works meet design intent, material specifications, and industry standards.
  • Conduct frequent site audits to identify and rectify deficiencies.
  • Ensure projects adhere to local building codes, permit requirements, and company quality standards.

5. Schedule & Timeline Management

  • Develop, update, and monitor project schedules to meet key interior fit-out milestones.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely workflow and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Minimize delays through proactive planning and onsite problem-solving.

6. Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Enforce company and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with local safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and provide safety training to on-site personnel.

7. Stakeholder Communication & Relationship Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, architects, designers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead coordination meetings, provide progress updates, and resolve issues to maintain alignment among all stakeholders.
  • Offer expert guidance and strategic insights to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

8. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Prepare routine progress reports, budget summaries, and project status updates for internal and external use.
  • Utilize project management software/tools for monitoring progress and reporting.

9. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor project teams, including site engineers, supervisors, and junior project managers.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to develop team capabilities.
