Responsibilities:

Develop and own analytics solutions
: Take charge of developing and maintaining analytics and data science solutions tailored for risk engineers and underwriters. Drive innovation through the creation of advanced analytical scenarios. -
Manage Risk Engineering Data
: Oversee the management of risk engineering data, ensuring readiness for solution implementation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and prepare data sets for analysis. -
Drive Data Quality Improvement
: Play a pivotal role in enhancing data quality through proactive identification and resolution of data issues. Implement data quality improvement initiatives to maintain the integrity and accuracy of our datasets. -
Support Client Interactions
: Assist risk engineers in preparing and visualizing data for client interactions. Provide insights and recommendations based on analytical findings to support strategic decision-making processes.

- Risk Engineering Services (RES) is represented globally in all main geographies and in more than 20 Swiss Re offices worldwide. RES is organized regionally for the general property business and globally for the specialty business. All RES managers ultimately report to the head RES located in Zurich. RES operates through a matrix organisation. Your team is a talented and hard-working bunch of data analytics engineers committed to transform and elevate the risk engineering function.
About you
- A graduation degree in a technical/science field preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or IT)
- Minimum 5-7 years hands-on experience in data reporting /analytics/data science field.
- Advanced experience working in Palantir Foundry environment and programming experience in Python/PySpark (statistical libraries and transformation) is a strong plus.
- Strong SQL logic handling and programming experience is a must.
- Proficient dashboarding capabilities in Power BI and Excel
- Proficiency in MS office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable.
- An independent learner with a proven ability to upskill based on business requirements
- Has a strong service-oriented approach backed up by good communication skills that allows you to effectively turn business questions of our global teams into data-supported solutions.
- Ability to derive insights from data with the ability to communicate data findings through engaging stories.
- Creative with problem solving skills, can identify opportunities to bring new improvements specially in data modelling and analytics.
- English language proficiency, strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
