Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Draw up, vet, and negotiate commercial contracts of varying complexity (low to high) with third parties and service providers. This includes, but is not limited to, Master Services Agreements and Procurement Agreements.
  • Ensure compliance of requested services and deliverables with contractual terms.
  • Identify and suggest concrete contract changes based on customer requirements, other relevant contracts, or general industry benchmarks.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of proposals and contracts, and identify effective risk mitigation strategies on behalf of the legal and contracts/procurement governance structure.
  • Exhibit a marked orientation for client service in all interactions.
  • Meet daily delivery commitments and take ownership of delivering high-quality work.
  • Be open, helpful, and participative with colleagues, providing support to seniors as needed.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to complete allotted tasks and achieve team goals.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication, showing respect and consideration for the needs and feelings of others at all times.
  • Possess excellent written and oral proficiency in English.

Background & Skills:

Technical:

  • Strong understanding of

    legal fundamentals

    , methods, procedures, and

    contracts law fundamentals

    (common law and exceptions).
  • Good

    drafting skills

    , including template-based drafting.

Functional:

  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of

    attention to detail

  • Keen

    commercial acumen

    with respect to the contracting lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in

    MS Office

    (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong

    communication skills

    - both oral and written.
  • Openness to new ideas and a good understanding/experience of dealing across cultures shall be an added advantage.
  • Reasonably good MS Word and Excel skills.
