Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Data Analysis: Collect and analyze internal and external pricing data, including competitor pricing, market conditions, and customer behavior. Perform detailed analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of current pricing strategies and identify areas for improvement. Assist in identifying trends and patterns in pricing data to inform business decisions. Market and Competitor Research: Conduct research on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor pricing strategies. Assist in the gathering of competitive intelligence to ensure that pricing remains competitive and aligned with industry standards. Support the identification of pricing opportunities in response to market dynamics, such as price sensitivity, customer segmentation, and geographic differences. Pricing Strategy Support: Help in the development and implementation of pricing strategies that maximize revenue and market share. Support pricing decisions for new products, services, or markets by providing data-driven insights. Assist in conducting price elasticity studies to understand the impact of price changes on customer demand. Financial Impact Assessment: Assist in calculating the financial impact of pricing changes on revenue, profit margins, and customer acquisition. Support in forecasting the financial outcomes of proposed pricing changes and provide recommendations for adjustments. Help create pricing models to assess the profitability of different pricing scenarios. Pricing Tool and Database Management: Maintain and update pricing databases, ensuring that data is accurate and up-to-date. Assist in the management of pricing tools and systems, ensuring that they are effectively utilized by the pricing team. Provide support for pricing system updates, including the integration of new pricing strategies and product offerings. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with overall business goals. Assist in developing pricing materials and communications for internal teams, such as sales guides or pricing sheets. Work with the sales team to monitor customer feedback on pricing and suggest adjustments as needed. Reporting and Presentation: Prepare regular pricing reports and dashboards for management, summarizing findings, pricing performance, and key insights. Present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders to support decision-making. Assist in the creation of pricing models and analysis tools for more effective decision-making across departments. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Coursework or internships related to pricing, economics, or data analysis is a plus. Skills and Experience: 2-3 years experience Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred), including data analysis, pivot tables, and financial modeling. Familiarity with pricing software or database management tools is a plus (e.g., Pricefx, SAP, or Oracle). Basic understanding of pricing principles, such as cost-plus pricing, value-based pricing, and competitive pricing.
