Job Description

As an Assistant Manager - GROUP BENEFITS AND WELLBEING OPERATIONS at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Country/Regional/Global Benefits activities by managing case management and working on employee data. Your responsibilities will include: - Coordinating employee queries and escalations through case management, collaborating with country/benefits Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or external vendors as needed. - Providing insights from cases to develop the program and working closely with HUB process leads. - Taking ownership of your work, demonstrating the ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal guidance. - Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement, ensuring proper controls and governance on processes delivered by the team. In terms of Leadership & Teamwork, you are expected to: - Display a high sense of accountability and active listening. - Show empathy towards colleagues and have good communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders or regional partners. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Bachelors/post-graduate degree in business, human resources, or a related field. - 1-3 years of experience in administering or managing employee benefits/pension/recognition and wellbeing programs in one or more countries/regions (EMEA, MENAT, UK, ASP). Global experience is desirable. - Data-driven problem-solving ability, proficiency in MS Office applications, knowledge of SAP HR platform, Service Now, and/or benefit administration platforms. - High regard for confidentiality and discretion, ability to work effectively in a flexible, matrixed work environment, and strong written and verbal English communication skills. Additional skills that would be beneficial for this role include: - Exposure to working with teams across multiple locations. - Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment. - Strong relationship management, research, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
