Job Description

Alumni Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

Alumni Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with SSPU alumni across programs and graduation years.
  • Coordinate alumni networking events, reunions, mentorship sessions, and special initiatives.
  • Create opportunities for alumni to contribute through talks, career guidance, internships, and collaborations.

Student–Alumni Connect Programs

  • Develop and execute programs that connect current students with alumni for mentoring, career pathways, and industry exposure.
  • Support student clubs and faculties in inviting alumni for workshops, lectures, and skill sessions.

Communication & Outreach

  • Maintain communication channels including email newsletters, WhatsApp groups, LinkedIn pages, and the alumni portal.
  • Create engaging content to highlight alumni achievements, university news, and success stories.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to alumni and student queries.

Event Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute alumni meets, virtual interactions, industry sessions, and special events.
  • Manage logistics, invitations, registrations, and on-ground coordination.

Database & Reporting

  • Maintain updated alumni records and reports through the alumni management system.
  • Track engagement metrics and share monthly/quarterly updates with the Director – Global Engagement.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with schools, faculty coordinators, placement teams, and administrative units for seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Support fundraising, partnerships, and global engagement activities where alumni involvement is key.



Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in alumni relations, student affairs, event management, communication, or community engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English & Hindi essential).
  • Experience in managing events, stakeholder relationships, or social-media communities.
