Job Title : Alloys Melting Unit Supervisor Qualification :ITI/Diploma in Metallurgy/ Diploma in Mechanical / BE.Mech Exp : Minimum 05 years of relevant experience in a steel plant or heavy industrial environment Compensation range : 20,000 to 22,000 No. of Vacancies and location : 6 Nos Job Description / Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in melting alloys for casting or further processing. Ensure melting procedures meet metallurgical and safety standards. Schedule and monitor furnace operations including loading, melting, alloying, and pouring. Inspect equipment and troubleshoot issues related to furnaces, crucibles, ladles, and temperature controls. Maintain accurate production and material usage records. Train and mentor furnace operators and support staff on proper melting techniques and safety protocols. Monitor raw material input (scrap metals, alloying agents) and ensure proper alloy composition through sampling and analysis. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, including proper handling of molten metal and waste. Coordinate with Quality Control to verify that melted alloys meet required chemical compositions and specifications. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve process efficiency.
