Job Description:

Need Eighty Two Forex and Travels Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Air Operations Manager to lead and supervise the full air-ticketing operations of the company. The ideal candidate should have strong GDS expertise, airline coordination experience, and team management skills. This role requires leadership, operational accuracy, and quick decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Department Leadership

• Lead and manage the air operations team (ticketing executives, support staff).
• Allocate daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure workflow efficiency.
• Conduct training on fare rules, GDS usage, and airline policy updates.

2. Air Ticketing & Reservations Oversight

• Supervise domestic & international bookings using Amadeus / Galileo / Sabre.
• Handle complex itineraries, group bookings, rerouting, reissues, and refunds.
• Approve high-value and complicated ticketing cases.

3. Airline & Vendor Coordination

• Maintain strong relations with airline representatives and support desks.
• Negotiate special fares, corporate rates, and promotional deals.
• Coordinate for waivers, name corrections, schedule changes, and dispute resolutions.

4. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure ticketing accuracy to prevent ADM/penalty charges.
• Implement quality-check procedures for every ticket issued.
• Ensure compliance with all airline guidelines and company SOPs.

5. Customer Support & Escalations

• Assist in resolving escalated customer complaints or booking issues.
• Handle urgent changes, cancellations, or emergency travel situations.
• Support corporate and premium clients with priority service.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational and sales reports.
• Monitor booking trends, profit margins, cancellations, and refunds.
• Maintain proper documentation, PNR records, CRM and MIS reporting.

7. Strategic & Process Improvement

• Suggest improvements in operations, speed, and service quality.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue from air products.
• Work closely with management on planning, budgeting, and achieving targets.

Requirements:

• 5–7 years minimum experience in air ticketing or flight operations.
• Strong command over GDS systems (Galileo / Amadeus / Sabre).
• Deep knowledge of airline fare rules, refund policies, schedules, and penalties.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and manage high-volume workloads.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, CRM, and professional email communication.
