Airfreight Associate

Responsibilities

• Place and manage airfreight bookings with airlines
• Liaise with airlines by phone and email to coordinate shipments
• Complete customs declarations accurately and on time
• Work closely with our offshore international team to ensure smooth operations
• Communicate with international customers and partners in a clear, professional manner
• Follow established procedures and meet deadlines
• Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams for day-to-day tasks
• Review and interpret invoices and airwaybills (a bonus)

Preferred candidate profile

• Fluent in English

  Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with international partners and completing documentation accurately.

• Team-Oriented

  Experience working in collaborative, team-based environments, ideally with exposure to international or offshore teams.

• Detail-Oriented & Organized

  Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and documentation without errors.

• Professional Communication

  Comfortable communicating with airlines, customers, and partners in a clear and respectful manner.

• Tech-Savvy

  Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams for daily administrative and operational tasks.

• Logistics Knowledge (Preferred)

  Prior exposure to logistics, airfreight, or freight forwarding processes is a plus, but not required.

• Basic Documentation Skills

  Understanding of invoices and airwaybills is beneficial.

• Adaptable & Willing to Learn

  Open to receiving training and following established processes and procedures.

• Future Office Availability

  Comfortable starting remotely but open to transitioning to in-office work in the near future.
