AI/ML Engineer

Job Description:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and capable Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and work on building intelligent systems to extract structured insights from unstructured documents and large-scale text data.The role involves working with millions of documents to develop document understanding pipelines using computer vision and NLP techniques, as well as helping to build effective information retrieval systems. Candidates will be expected to work on the entire ML pipeline — from preprocessing and data wrangling to experimentation and model integration — while learning to manage performance and scalability challenges associated with large datasets. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to gain deep, hands-on experience in applied machine learning and contribute meaningfully to real-world systems.

Required Skills:

• Solid Python programming skills with experience using key libraries like NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn, PyMuPDF, and PDFPlumber.
• Foundational knowledge of Natural Language Processing (tokenization, stopword removal, lemmatization, embeddings, etc.).
• Familiarity with text preprocessing techniques and regular expressions.
• Exposure to computer vision fundamentals, particularly object detection concepts and architectures (e.g., YOLO, Faster R-CNN).
• Exposure to search and retrieval systems and related concepts like ranking models, vector search, or semantic search techniques.
• Preferred Skills (Good to Have): Prior experience with document layout analysis or multi-modal models combining vision and text.
• Familiarity with libraries or tools such as LayoutParser, Detectron2, MMDetection or LayoutLM.
• Familiarity with vector databases like Milvus/FAISS.
• Experience with Cloud based infrastructure like Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Any prior academic or personal projects involving document understanding, computer vision, or NLP.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,410.16 - ₹54,356.46 per month
