What You Will Do:

As an an AI Integration Intern, you will be instrumental in exploring and optimizing the use of AI

in various stages of our industrial design process. Your responsibilities will include:

● AI Tool Exploration & Testing: Research, identify, and rigorously test emerging AI tools

and platforms relevant to industrial design (e.g., generative design software, advanced

rendering engines, AI-powered ideation tools).

● Workflow Integration: Develop and propose streamlined workflows for integrating

selected AI tools into existing design processes, from initial ideation to final visualization.

● Process Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation, tutorials,

and best practices for the effective use of AI tools within the design team.

● Generative Design & Visualization: Experiment with generative AI techniques to

explore new design possibilities, optimize forms, and enhance visualization quality.

● Data-Driven Insights: Assist in collecting and analyzing design-related data to uncover

insights and inform design decisions, potentially leveraging AI for pattern recognition.

● Collaboration: Work closely with industrial designers, engineers, and IT to understand

their needs and challenges, ensuring AI solutions are practical and user-centric.

● Presentation: Regularly present findings, progress, and recommendations to the design

team and stakeholders.

HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a blend of design sensibility and

technological aptitude.

● Curiosity and Proactiveness: A strong desire to explore, experiment, and learn about

new technologies, especially AI.

● Design Acumen: Fundamental understanding of industrial design principles, ideation,

sketching, 3D modeling, and rendering (e.g., knowledge of tools like SolidWorks, Rhino,

Alias, Blender, Keyshot, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite).

● Technological Interest: Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, generative design, or

computational design is highly desirable (e.g., basic scripting knowledge in Python,

experience with AI art tools, or generative design software).

● Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and propose innovative,

technology-driven solutions.

● Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to

explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and articulate design thinking.

● Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

● Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating any exploration into AI, computational design, or

advanced visualization is a plus.

YOU BRING TO ATHER:

● Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any Design or Engineering with a

strong design focus, Industrial Design, Product Design, HCI, or a related field.
