ob Overview

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead and manage liaisoning and public relations activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and building strong relationships with government authorities, industrial bodies, and local communities. The role requires strategic leadership, expertise in regulatory frameworks, and proven experience in handling statutory approvals and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Develop and execute PR & liaisoning strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Act as senior-most contact for government and regulatory bodies.
  • Mentor and lead the liaisoning team.

Regulatory Compliance & Approvals

  • Manage statutory clearances such as environmental consents (CTE/CTO), hazardous waste authorizations, fire NOCs, explosive licenses, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, labor, and safety regulations.
  • Handle internal audits and external inspections with zero non-compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with government offices, municipal bodies, industry authorities, and communities.
  • Represent the organization in regulatory meetings, public hearings, and forums.
  • Act as spokesperson for government and community-related matters.

Monitoring & Advisory

  • Track regulatory updates and advise leadership on compliance impact.
  • Maintain a compliance calendar and ensure timely renewals.

Community Relations

  • Lead community engagement initiatives and CSR-aligned programs.
  • Address community issues and foster goodwill.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Oversee documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Present compliance and liaisoning status reports to senior management.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Law, Public Administration, Environmental Science, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.

Experience

  • 12–15 years in PR/communications/regulatory liaisoning.
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Must have experience working with at least

    3 of the following departments

    :
    • Fire Department
    • Labour Department
    • Factory Inspectorate
    • Pollution Control Board
    • Karnataka Udyog Mantra (KUM)
