Designation: AGM Human Resources

Position Summary:

The AGM HR will be responsible for industrial relations, contractor workforce, legal compliance, payroll, and statutory adherence across the plant. This role demands strong expertise in union management, labor law, dispute resolution, and contractor oversight to maintain a healthy work environment and ensure organizational compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Union Management & Industrial Relations:

Manage all aspects of industrial relations to maintain a healthy and harmonious work environment within the plant. Handle union-related matters including disciplinary actions, individual grievances, and domestic inquiries. Foster positive relationships with union representatives and employees to promote collaboration and reduce conflicts.

  • Court Case & Legal Handling:

Take full responsibility for court case management across the plant, including conciliation, labor court, and industrial court proceedings. Coordinate effectively with advocates and legal counsel to manage and resolve legal matters related to employment and industrial disputes.

  • Contract Labor Management:

Oversee the Contractor Cell comprising approximately 110 contractors and over 2,500 contract labor employees. Ensure accurate maintenance of contractor and contract labor records and manage contractor compliance with statutory requirements.

  • Statutory Compliance:

Ensure full compliance with all applicable labor laws, factory acts, provident fund regulations, and other statutory requirements. Manage statutory returns and compliance reporting, coordinating with government and local statutory bodies as needed.

  • Payroll & Compliance Management:

Supervise payroll operations and ensure all compliance-related activities are conducted timely and accurately.

  • Inspections & Audits:

Lead and facilitate factory, labor, and provident fund inspections. Prepare for and manage both internal and external audits related to HR functions.

  • HR Reporting & MIS:

Develop and present comprehensive HR Management Information System (MIS) reports and presentations during monthly management reviews.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in union management and industrial relations within a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, factory acts, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record in managing labor disputes, court cases, and legal coordination.
  • Experience managing large contractor workforces and ensuring compliance with contract labor laws.
  • Skilled in handling payroll and compliance processes accurately.
  • Ability to produce detailed HR MIS reports and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
