Job Description

Job Purpose:

Conducting risk analysis and ensuring the proper solution to avoid the risk & hazard. Record keeping and documentation of EHS related work. Inspection of machines, lifting tools and other equipment to ensure the compliance and safe working. Checking of firefighting and detection system to ensure the proper working.


Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular plant safety audits - facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and highlight potential hazards.
  • Provide safety training to all managers & associates for safety practice drills
  • Keeping track of site Incidents, Investigating the root cause and setting necessary procedure /practices to avoid incidents in future
  • Train/built an emergency response team.
  • Maintain safety gadgets inventory including distribution.
  • Implement safety directives; improve safety performance in chemical industry.
  • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
  • Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
  • Accountability for all statutory compliance and legal aspects with respect to Environment, Health and safety
  • ISO Documentation & certification


Skills & Competencies Required:


Technical Skills:


  • Excellent knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Academic & Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required, Master’s degree desirable.


Experience Required:

8-15 Years of experience in same domain


Industry:

Preferably from chemical industry
