Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Client Representation

  : Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and legal proceedings, advocating for their rights and best interests.

• Legal Advice & Counsel

  : Provide sound legal advice and support to clients, ensuring they understand their rights, obligations, and potential outcomes of their cases.

• Case Preparation

  : Conduct extensive legal research, gather evidence, interview clients and witnesses, and develop comprehensive case strategies.

• Document Drafting

  : Prepare and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, briefs, and settlement agreements.

• Negotiation & Settlement

  : Engage in negotiation and mediation to reach settlements, protecting the client's interests.

• Court Decorum

  : Maintain respect and decorum within the courtroom, ensuring all interactions with judges, opposing counsel, and court staff are professional and courteous.

• Ethical Conduct

  : Adhere strictly to the professional ethics and standards outlined in the

  Advocates Act, 1961, and the Bar Council of India Rules

• Continuing Education

  : Stay informed of changes in laws, regulations, and legal developments through continuous professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education

  : A Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) or a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution (depending on jurisdiction).

• Licensing

  : An active license to practice law from the relevant Bar Council or State Bar Association.

• Experience

  : Prior experience in a legal setting, such as a junior advocate role or internship, may be required.
