Position Title: Advisor – Cybersecurity Certifications Department: Academic Advisory & Admissions Reporting To: Business Head – Cybersecurity Stack Location: Technovalley HQ, Kochi / Remote (Hybrid/Full-Time) Employment Type: Full-Time / Consultant / Contractual (depending on profile) About Technovalley AKS Technovalley Advanced Knowledge Services (AKS) is the Strategic Business Unit of Technovalley India , focused exclusively on delivering globally recognized cybersecurity certification programs. Position Overview We are looking for certified cybersecurity professionals to join us as Career Advisors . In this role, you will engage with aspiring cybersecurity learners—students, working professionals, and career changers—and help them understand the value and scope of globally recognized cybersecurity certifications. You will play a vital role in guiding them toward the right certification path based on their background, interest, and career goals. Your real-world understanding of cybersecurity, combined with strong communication skills, will make you a powerful advisor who can inspire and guide future cybersecurity experts— without any sales gimmicks or false promises . Key Responsibilities Career Advisory & Student Guidance Act as a domain expert and trusted advisor for all cybersecurity certification programs offered by Technovalley AKS. Evaluate the educational background, technical aptitude, and career aspirations of students and recommend the most suitable global certification path (e.g., CEH, CHFI, CSA, OSCP, CISM, etc.). Counsel students through in-depth one-on-one sessions, webinars, or workshops to educate them about industry trends, career roles, certification roadmaps, and expected outcomes. Admissions Support & Ethical Communication Ensure all student communications are transparent, ethical, and aligned with Technovalley's non-compromise policy on misinformation. Support the admissions team in improving conversion rates by offering credible, technically sound program explanations that build trust. Participate in events, conferences, webinars, and online/offline outreach initiatives to represent Technovalley AKS as a subject matter ambassador. Continuous Knowledge Building Stay updated with the latest global cybersecurity threats, job roles, certifications, tools, and frameworks. Work closely with the academic and operations teams to understand current course structures, content updates, and global certification changes. Collaboration & Reporting Share insights on student queries, market expectations, and industry perception of certification programs with internal stakeholders. Maintain detailed records of student interactions and contribute to the creation of knowledge bases or FAQs for recurring queries. Qualifications & Requirements Mandatory A graduate or postgraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. At least one globally recognized cybersecurity certification such as CEH , CHFI , CISA , CISM , CompTIA Security+ , OSCP , CPT , or equivalent. Excellent communication skills in English (Malayalam/Hindi is a plus). Deep understanding of cybersecurity career pathways, job roles, and certification value propositions. Preferred Prior experience in counseling, mentoring, or academic advisory roles. Experience as a cybersecurity practitioner (SOC, Red Team, Forensics, etc.). Experience presenting in webinars, tech talks, or community events. Personal Attributes High integrity and ethical mindset— must not oversell or misguide students .
